Medium Duty Shelves Used in Supermarkets or in Offices

Release time:2024-05-08

Medium duty shelves, also known as panel shelves, are widely used in stores, supermarkets, warehouses and logistics centers due to their flexibility, good load-bearing capacity and easy to use, simple to adjust.

Panel racks are mainly composed of uprights, beams and panels, most of which are steel ones (there are also wooden shelves). Steel panels can be directly installed on beams to facilitate manual work. The spacing between layers can be adjusted according to actual needs.  Adjustable spacing is uniform (pitch P=50mm, 75mm, etc.).

According to the load capacity of each tier of shelf, shelves can be divided into light, medium and heavy-duty racks.

Load-bearing capacity: one single tier can reach between 180kg-1000kg.

Uprights usually have butterfly pattern holes, or diamond-shaped holes.

When placing light goods, customers prefer to use beamless panel racks ; when one single shelf can carry more than 400kg, there should add beams.

The length of panel racks should not be too long and the width should not be too deep. When the length is longer than normal ones, pay attention to adding cross braces and beams to keep stability and safety.
